The brief for this design was is an unpretentious family home, not ostentatious, but elegant and welcoming. The floor plan has been kept open and expansive, yet we have carved out intimate zones for personal time.
The interior furnishings are deliberately been simple to allow the vista to be the visual focus. The palette is calm and neutral. We have repeated the use of the grass cloth on the walls, linking the 1st and 2nd levels.
The touches of coral in the upholstery brings a cheerful energy to the room. Pattern has been introduced, but with a restrained hand to enliven but not distract from the view, enough to allow for spaces for communal family living but with cosy intimate zones for personal time.
