Our Philosophy

“ The design of your home is as important to your wellbeing as good food and exercise. Your home should be a sanctuary — a place that supports rest, recovery, and resilience.

The best homes are not about the objects placed within them, but the signals they send to the body. Understanding what helps each homeowner feel at ease — physically as well as emotionally — is the starting point of my design process.

My approach is personalised and multisensory, helping clients harness the power of their homes to support healthier, more balanced lives. ”

Nikki Hunt

About   Nikki

Multi-award winning designer Nikki Hunt is the one of the most recognised designers in South East Asia. Born and educated in London, she moved to Asia 30 years ago and has made Singapore her home. She founded Design Intervention in 2004 and together with her talented team, she crafts multi-faceted personalised homes, advising on every aspect and detail of a project.

Nikki believes that design is a building block of happiness and that it’s ultimate purpose is to create a space that makes us feel good and helps us live better. Passionate about making this design ethos accessible to everyone, Nikki hosted two seasons of Come on In on HGTV Asia, helping average homeowners achieve the home of their dreams.

Over time, her work has evolved beyond aesthetics to consider how the built environment influences how people feel, function, and recover in their everyday lives. Alongside her design practice, Nikki writes and researches the relationship between the built environment and human health through her Substack, Nervous System Design, where she explores how homes shape the body, not just how they look.
